Splitit allows you to split the total payment over several months using your credit card. This service is free, involves no credit checks or applications and means you can choose to split your payments anywhere from 2–5 months.

All you need is a credit card with a sufficient amount of available credit. Splitit authorizes the total order value but don’t worry, this is not taken in full when you purchase. Let’s take a look at an example.

You make an order worth $500, choosing a 5-month term with Splitit and using a card with $1,000 of available credit.
You’re charged $100 at purchase, with $400 held on your card. You can still use your card for shopping elsewhere, but your total available credit will be minus that $400 still owing.
Every month that you pay down another $100, your authorized balance will decrease and your available credit will be freed up.
After month 5, the balance is cleared. If you’re ready to pay more earlier, you can edit your plan at any time to reduce the number of payments or even pay off the balance in full.
